Work Process

I make the process of acquiring a custom Access database easy from start to finish. All the relevant questions and issues are familiar to me, so you don't have to be a software expert to begin the process.

The beginning starts with a consultation, which in many ways is a two-way interview. I'll ask you questions about what you're specifically looking for, what you'd like to have software do for you, and how you're doing your work now. You'll ask me if what you're looking for is realistic (almost always is) and how I'd put it together. The process:

• We can do this by telephone, email, or- depending on the situation- in person.

• I will provide you with a detailed quote of the work I'll be doing for you, with the goals clearly stated, and a fixed price.

• While the work is in process we coordinate over the detailed specifications and any new needs that come up can be immediately addressed.     

• The database is delivered to you via email (cd is available upon request) and I walk you through installing it over the phone, then train you myself.

• Any adjustments that need to be made after you receive the database are taken care of in the first weeks of use, almost always without extra charge (the only charge is if a new feature or function is added that wasn't included in the initial quote).
